Herradura Steel Tortilla Press, Imported from Mexico.
The family run Herradura Steel business was founded on 1960 by Don Gilberto Ponce, in the state of Mexico.
Herradura Steel’s history dates back to its creators childhood, when his older brother had the opportunity to go to the United States to work in arms production factory. Where he was able to learn the trade of metal casting.
Upon his return to Mexico, he taught his younger brother the trade and together they founded the first foundry company in the area.
Don Gilberto was a born industrial engineer, which allowed him, even without studies, to develop an immense amount of cast iron prototypes, from industrial machines to household utensils.
Over time, his ingenuity and passion made the business grow and expand beyond the national market, becoming a leading export company of cast iron products.
Today, the company continues to grow and expand its product line under the command of a second and third generation, offering a wide variety of the highest quality and preserving the artisanal manufacturing process that have been used since the 1060’s.
